New workstreams have been formed. The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force in May 2018 will inform the deliberations of the workstreams.
The policy workstream led by Dr Sarah Hayes, Academic Director for Technology-Enhanced Learning, is developing a learning analytics policy and a student guide which promote best practice and include ethical and Data Protection considerations.
The technical workstream led by Lisa Gregg, Head of Administration in LSS and formerly the University’s Head of Planning, will inform data modelling, data collection, and the design of the staff dashboard.
The interventions workstream led by Ellen Pope, Head of the Learning Development Centre, will audit interventions in place at the University and develop a set of recommendations of interventions to change behaviours and outcomes.
Evaluation of the success of the project will be undertaken by the project team and workstream leads, working with Dr Ann Vernallis, Programme Director for Biology and Biomedical Science Programmes in LHS, and Ruth Hall, Operations, Data and Projects Manager in Careers+Placements.
