The HEFCE project has now finished and the final report was completed and submitted on 30th April 2018. We would like to take this opportunity to thank HEFCE for the funding and support they have provided in this experimental innovation project.

After the demonstrations at the end of 2017 arrangements were made for a scoping meeting. The main data sources that should be fed into the system were identified as SITS, Blackboard, SEAtS, Panopto and Library. Aston hosted the 11th Jisc Learning Analytics Network event on 5 September. We discussed aspects of our institutional learning analytics project, and had many really interesting presentations from different members of the group. Two workshop sessions focused on developing strategies for carrying out interventions and using analytics to enhance the curriculum. Following on from the Interventions Workshop in July, the interventions workstream is developing a set of interventions guidelines for staff. Work on a Student Guide to Learning Analytics is ongoing.
